Altro ContraX
The most widely used Altro safety floor and a popular choice across a broad range of settings, from retail and commercial kitchens to clinics, nurseries, and schools. ContraX is a 2mm, R10-rated, impermeable PVC vinyl with EasyClean surface technology and built-in bacteriostatic protection. It achieves a PTV of 36 or above, placing it firmly in the low slip risk category.
Altro Stronghold 30
Designed specifically for environments exposed to grease, oil, and fats, Altro Stronghold 30 is the highest-rated floor in the Altro range — achieving PTV ≥55 and an R12 classification. At 3mm thick, it also reduces staff fatigue and provides noise reduction underfoot. It carries a 20-year manufacturer’s guarantee and is the go-to choice for commercial kitchens and food production environments.
Altro Walkway 20
A versatile safety floor designed for high-footfall areas where water is the primary slip hazard, including corridors, entrance lobbies, retail spaces, and educational buildings. Walkway 20 achieves R10/R11 slip resistance and is available in a wide range of colours and finishes to suit modern interior schemes.
Altro Aquarius
Specifically developed for wet and barefoot environments, Altro Aquarius achieves a PTV of 50 or above and holds a DIN 51097 Class B barefoot classification. It’s the preferred solution for bathrooms, shower rooms, changing facilities, hospital wards, and spa areas – combining high-performance slip resistance with excellent hygiene properties.

We offer a professional slip resistance testing service using UKAS-calibrated pendulum equipment, carried out to BS EN 16165:2021. A test carried out after your Altro flooring installation gives you a documented PTV reading you can use for health and safety records, insurance purposes, or to demonstrate duty of care compliance.
For clients in healthcare, food service, or public-sector environments especially, we’d strongly recommend combining installation with a post-install test as standard practice.

Yes – Altro Aquarius is designed specifically for wet and barefoot environments, achieving a PTV of 50 or above and a DIN 51097 Class B barefoot rating. It’s suitable for changing rooms, shower areas, bathrooms, hospital wards, and spa environments. We install it with heat-welded seams to ensure a fully watertight, hygienic finish.
Do you supply the Altro flooring as well as install it?
