Safety Direct Group is a specialist in non-slip flooring treatments, slip resistance testing, and facility safety maintenance. Based in the South West, we work across the UK, including Scotland, Ireland, Wales and internationally, transforming slippery surfaces into safe, compliant spaces.
Slips and falls are among the most common, and most preventable, causes of workplace and public-space injury. Safety Direct Group was founded on a simple but urgent belief: that floors should never be a hazard. From that need grew a business that now combines in-house R&D, certified testing, and expert installation to deliver floor safety solutions unlike anything else on the market.
Operating under the full name Safety Direct Worldwide Group, we serve clients across healthcare, retail, education, hospitality, and industrial settings, from hospitals and swimming pools to commercial kitchens and corporate lobbies. Whether the job is a single domestic bathroom or a multi-site commercial estate, we bring the same professional standard to every surface.
At the heart of what we do is NS21: an advanced anti-slip floor treatment developed entirely by our in-house R&D team. No other company offers it. No other system works quite like it.
NS21 uses a patented aqueous-based polymer that chemically bonds with a floor surface to create a microscopic honeycomb structure. Invisible to the eye, this structure generates a gentle suction effect underfoot, dramatically increasing traction, even in wet or greasy conditions.
Unlike acid etching, sandblasting, or grit coatings, NS21 leaves zero visible trace. Your floors look exactly as they did. They just won’t slip.

Bio: With 17 years of experience in the slip resistance industry, I have developed extensive knowledge in improving floor safety and helping clients reduce slip risks across a wide range of environments. Throughout my career, I have worked with some of the UK’s most recognised hotels, commercial properties, and prestigious establishments, delivering effective and reliable slip resistance solutions.
My expertise focuses on enhancing the slip resistance performance of flooring while maintaining the quality and appearance of the surface. Growing up within a family-run business, I have always had a strong connection to the industry and take great pride in the work I do.
I believe that creating safer spaces is about more than providing a service — it is about building trust, delivering high standards, and genuinely caring about the results. Floor safety has been a major part of my life for nearly two decades, and the passion I have for the industry continues to drive me every day.
